Simon hoping for better things starting on Saturday

| 28/10/2016

Bridgwater and Albion return to College Way on Saturday afternoon to face Bideford in South West One (West) kick off 3pm.

Since the start of the season Bridgy have faced most of the clubs in the upper half of the table, and only notched up two victories- something which coach Simon Morrell is keen to start to improve upon.

Reflecting on the two squad training sessions this week Simon said: “Training as a whole is continuing to move in the right direction and the squad has improved with the way that they work on Tuesday and Thursdays, probably to the frustration of our supporters because we are not getting the results they want and deserve at this stage.

“However we are light years ahead of where we were when we started in September and we are heading very much in the right direction.”

Simon went on: “Things have gone superbly well this week and we have got pretty much the full compliment of players back which always makes a huge difference.

“Last week at Thornbury was a step in the right direction but there is still a lot of frustration in there especially in defence. However the next stage for us at the moment is just to relax and enjoy our attacking game and let it do what it does.

“We are playing like a side that is desperate for a win and making errors time and time again . Now we have got the guys out on the field we want so we need to relax.

“We have worked on our attacking shape all week and simplified it to get the ball to the boys who have the ability in our team and I think we are in a good position now. From the outside it looks frustrating but now we are in a good shape.”

Simon added: “We have got s block of six games now and truthfully I think we can certainly win five of them. Hopefully we wll get one of these on the board, in fact Id be very upset if we didn’t.”
