Girls Rugby U12’s to U18’s

Bridgwater and Albion Youth is proud to support our youth girls team, who continue to grow from strength and strength. We always welcome new members, any or no experience necessary. Here at Albion we believe it is important to teach the fundamentals of rugby and enjoy the sport in all of its glory. No question, is a silly question!

The current team have developed and grown in numbers so much within the last season, and although all relatively new to the game itself we continue to build and develop all abilities.

If you are interested in meeting the girls and seeing learning a bit more please feel free to come down to the club on a Wednesday evening 6:00 – 7:00pm. We are currently doing out of season fitness and theory until the new season.

Start of the new season is from Sunday 4th September 2022 where we will be altogether at the club from 10:00am for an introduction session.

From September 2022 we will be running a full list of friendlies, please contact us to arrange a fixture.

Child Safeguarding is a priority at Bridgwater and Albion RFC and is overseen by our Child Welfare Officer. All welfare questions or observations must be raised with our Child Welfare Officer details below, or see Safeguarding.

March 2020

Four of Bridgwater & Albion’s U18’s, Lauren Power, Niamh Weaver, Megan Bates and Connie Rooney, have been selected to play for Somerset U18 girls. All four were picked to play at Cheltenham Tigers RFC in Gloucestershire, with Somerset winning against Devon and Cornwall, but losing very narrowly against Gloucester.

We’re also pleased to say that two of our U15’s, Ellie Pearce and Charlotte Halley, have also been selected to play for Somerset U15 girls. Again Both girls were selected to play on Sunday and Somerset came away as overall winners of the festival.

We are incredibly proud of all of our girls, but would like to wish Lauren, Niamh, Megan, Connie, Charlotte and Ellie the very best of luck on their County adventure.
