1st XV Weekend Preview

| 03/03/2017

Bridgwater and Albion host Kingsbridge in South West One (West) at College Way on Saturday afternoon.

Looking ahead to the match against the team from South Devon, who the Albion beat back in the autumn head coach Simon Morrell said: “We have had two good hard sessions with the boys this week and everything is looking good.

“We will be putting out a strong team, even though we have got a couple of issues in the front row, but this presents an opportunity for somebody else to step up, in addition to which we have got Ollie Dunn and Sam Britton back in the side.

“Our training sessions have been pretty straight forward this week, which is what we would hope they would be by this time of the season, so its just a case of re-visiting the different situations.

“The boys are starting to own their performances and are starting to understand their games, so its just the little defence issues here and there.”

Simon added: “Everyone has been exceptional in training and there maybe a couple of the boys who will feel disappointed not to be playing. Ryan Barnett is very unlucky not to be in the side, but Oscar Tregenna keeps his shirt just through unbelievable training and really raising the bar and working hard at his game.”

The match against Kingsbridge kicks off at 3pm so why not go along and cheer the ‘Bridgy Boys’ on.
