Albion add to the coaching staff ahead of 2018 season

Bridgwater and Albion have announced that Richard Bright, who is currently Development Coach at Exeter Chiefs, will be joining them for the coming season as a player coach.

Bright started his professional career with the Cornish Pirates at the age of 18 from where he went to Launceston when they were in National One, where he remained a career move meant he was living in London.

During his time In London, the 28 year old played for Blackheath another National One until he returned to Devon to live since when has played for Taunton and Exmouth, including helping the latter gain a promotion to National Two (South).

Bright will link up with Wayne Sprangle, who has also joined Albion this season as a player coach for the 2018 season.

Albion Director of Rugby Geoff Sluman  said: “ We are delighted to announce that Richard Bright will also be joining Albion as a player coach. Richard is an experienced player having played a good level of rugby for many years, who currently plays at full back, but can also play on the wing. He is currently a Development Coach at Exeter Chiefs, but wants to progress and coach outside of this.”

Bright said: “I am really looking forward to getting stuck in to being involved at Bridgwater & Albion RFC. Having known about the club, I am looking forward to coaching, playing and hopefully helping everyone get to where the club deserves.”
