Bideford preview……

| 17/02/2017

Bridgwater and Albion head for North Devon on Saturday where they face a Bideford side who are just two places below them in the South West One (West) table.

When the two sides met earlier on in the season at College Way it was Albion who ran out the winners 26-20 after a hard fought match and head coach Simon Morrell is expecting more of the same on Saturday.

“We are expecting a physical challenge from Bideford and they pride themselves on that and they probably edged the exchanges up front at our place so we know first and foremost that we have to get our set pieces right.

“We have to respect the fact that they will be very physical coming  round the corner at us so we need to nullify them and that has to be a priority for us.

“Once again we will not be a full strength but that is the nature of the beast but we have got a strong team, we are confident and certainly very hungry to make up for lost time.

“We’re going there with a positive mindset to play and we certainly wont be getting back on the bus without giving it a good go.

Simon added: “We are in a good shape going forward and can probably say that they had their better spell at the start of the season and are sloping off a little bit  waiting for the end of the season so we may have a bit of an edge there in terms of desire or wanting it a bit more which will be useful for us.”
