Kevin delight at Dorset result (10/09/12)

| 11/04/2013

Bridgwater and Albion head coach Kevin Innalls was delighted with  the team’s performance at North Dorset where the Bridgy Boys notched up the first league win since he took charge at College Way.

“The guys gave a good performance so its nice that we have got that first win out of the way. We were dominant for much of the game and made the pressure tell this week.”

“We didn’t manage to kick any conversions which would certainly have added to our score however we did score five tries to earn ourselves a bonus point.”

Kevin went on: “I was very pleased for the lads because it will give them a bit of confidence, especially away from home.”

“It was a good performance all round. Our line out was very accurate and when we got into the try scoring zone we made it pay. Great credit to the way that the forwards worked, the backs looked sharp with Rob Allen coming back in. He ran some good lines and had the defence well organised and there was plenty of talk out there.”

“There was a really good feel on the coach coming back which was very pleasing for the lads because they worked hard in training last week so it was nice that they enjoyed the fruits of their labours.”

Talking about the coming week the head coach said: “We have still got things to work on but we have also got some more firepower to come back into the side so we are far from finished where we are at the moment.”
