The Musgrave Bro’s

| 03/12/2018

The Musgrave brothers George and Jack both played for Bridgwater and Albion at St Ives on Saturday.

Jack, who is 23 years old came on as a replacement the previous weekin the home game against Okehampton, but this was the first time that he was included in the start line up, while older brother George who is 26 was making his debut for the First XV.

On Saturday Jack played at blind side flanker, while George played in the second row.

Dad played for Morganians and both brothers played when they were at school, however it wasn’t until this summer when they went along to the training sessions that they’d had any involvement with Bridgwater and Albion.

“It was a very big sporting occasion for the family and both Mum and Dad came down to watch us play at St Ives. They were very proud to see us playing together for the first time for Bridgwater. It was a tough old game but we both enjoyed it,” said George.

Both brothers also play cricket for Middlezoy CC, and currently George is vice captain of the First XI.
