“We need to come out firing” says Simon

Bridgwater and Albion return to action on Saturday afternoon when they host third placed Thornbury at College Way, where the action kicks off at 2.15pm.

Head coach Simon Morrell knows that his side will have to be on the top of their game if they are to get the result that he is looking for.

On Friday he said: “We are not going to be quite as strong as we had hoped to be, but at this time of the year many teams are in a similar position.

“This is a massive test for us really and we are really keen to get back to winning ways at home since being beaten by Okehampton.

“We know that with sides like Thornbury that if we concede those early battles and early collisions then we will be 30 points down very quickly.

“Really tomorrow is all about the squad players who come in being determined and stepping up physically as a side and not waiting for others to lead.

“This game is about the players motivating themselves and getting into the game.”

Simon summed it up when he said: “To me that’s the game in a nutshell- if we can get that early momentum and come out firing then we have got every chance of getting a really good win under our belts.”

The Albion would like to invite all Former Players to come along to the game to cheer the boys on and stay behind afterwards to watch the Wales v England game on the big screen.
