ALBION REMEMBER COLOURFUL SUPPORTER GORDON LAKE

| 26/10/2018

Bridgwater & Albion is sad to announce the death of Gordon Lake who was one of the club’s ace supporters over many years. Gordon sadly passed away on Sunday 14 October following a short illness at the Royal United Hospital in Bath. He will be well-remembered for his colourful attire and his considerable support to the club teams – in particular he relished the away trips and was always proudly decked out in his Albion blazer and tie. His pride in belonging to the club is amplified by his wish that he be cremated in his club outfit.

Gordon travelled hundreds of miles with various teams of the last few generations and could be relied upon for strong support – mind you, he was not afraid to give his views on some of our lesser performances but always cheered us to the end. He was a stalwart of the Supporters Club to whom he gave considerable assistance in raising much needed funds for club activities.

Gordon will be sadly missed by members and supporters and the club sends its sincere condolences to his family.

Gordon’s funeral service will be held at the Sedgemoor Crematorium at 2pm on Friday 2 November followed by a gathering at Bridgwater & Albion Rugby Football Club at 3 pm.
