BRIDGWATER & ALBION GOLF DAY – FRIDAY 4 MAY
This annual event was held in ideal golfing conditions at Isle of Wedmore on Friday 4 May when a good entry of 12 teams of 4 participated.
The progressive Stableford format somewhat proved the undoing of a lot of the teams most struggling to beat par. Indeed, it was only the winners Western Fuel on 122 points who mastered the format. The winners included club stalwarts Nick Smith and Simon Ranson. Maxwells Mexicans were runners up just four points behind with Ronnie’s Rebels and Weapons of Grass Destruction coming in third and fourth respectively.
Acorn Recruitment and Maxwells Chartered Accountants were kind sponsors.
Flushed with the success President Mike Berry hopes to continue with a further competition in 2019.
