Bridgwater College Academy

Bridgwater & Albion RFC, North Petherton RFC, and Bridgwater College are launching an exciting Rugby Football Union backed player development project starting on January 28th 2014 at Bridgwater College.

The project will provide structured, high quality coaching to local male rugby players in years 10 and 11, together with additional training for players who are part of Bridgwater Colleges Rugby Academy programme.     

Sessions will be delivered at Bridgwater College by a lead RFU coach, alongside coaches from Bridgwater & Albion RFC & North Petherton RFC.  The coaching curriculum will be focused around individual technical development together with physical development through the use of Bridgwater Colleges Health & Fitness suite.

Sessions will be free of charge, aside from a heavily reduced one off £5 gym membership fee (usual price £30) which enables players to access Bridgwater College Health & Fitness Centre as part of this programme and unlimited times up until June 30th 2014.

U16 sessions will run on the following dates 5pm – 7pm:
28th January, 11th February, 25th February, 11th March , 25th March & 8th April

U15 sessions will run on the follow dates 5pm – 7pm:
4th February, 18th February, 4th March, 18th March, 1st April, 15th April 

Training will take place at Bridgwater College and players are required to meet at the Sports Hall Reception at 4:45pm, with a drink and appropriate playing kit and equipment.
