Bridgwater and Albion RFC are pleased to announce that the downstairs lounge area of the Club house, formerly the Trelleborg lounge, has been renamed the Maxwells Suite. The Club is proud to have had the support of Maxwells Chartered Accountants for many years and this year have decided to reflect our long term and on going association by renaming, in recognition of their support, the most used area of the building.
Most members and supporters will be well aware of the Maxwells Chartered Accountants sponsorship of the Club over many years, but few are probably aware of just how supportive the company and individuals have been and continue to be, providing assistance to the Club in many ways, including invaluable business services. Chairman, Steve Smith, said: Sponsorship income through advertising, etc. is very important and always greatly appreciated but the Maxwells relationship provides much more than this with their diverse of support of all areas of our Club. Support like this is invaluable to us and Maxwells continued support of Bridgwater and Albion RFC is fantastic.
Maxwells Chartered Accountants’ Senior Partner and Bridgwater & Albion RFC Club President Mike Berry said “I and all at Maxwells are delighted that the Club has renamed the lounge area of the clubhouse in our honour. I have been involved with the Club now for 49 seasons and the firm has supported during the majority of these. This is part of our support to the local community generally. The firm always sponsors a match during the season and many will be expecting that sponsorship to take place during December as has been the tradition for many years. However this season there are no home 1st XV fixtures during December due to the vagaries of the fixtures list, so the firm will be sponsoring the North Petherton match on Saturday 8 February but hoping to return to the December date for next year. I am aware that a lot of our clients and friends will be expecting a Christmas invitation but it is not practicable this time – I am sure everyone will enjoy the deferred arrangements”
