Bridgwater and Albion Football Club were formed in 2011 when they joined the Taunton and District Saturday football league playing in the 5th division under a different name. 3 consecutive promotions took them to the second division, Whilst narrowly missing out on promotion that season they won the rose bowl trophy beating Milverton in the final at Bridgwater Towns Fairfax Park Ground. The very next season They were runners up in the 2nd division which saw them promoted to the 1st division for the 2016/17 season. The League Knockout Cup was added to the list of achievements in 2018 when they beat Bridgwater Sports Reserves 1-0 in the final which was played at Bishops Lydeards Ground.

The club was invited to move to Bridgwater and Albion Rugby Club at the start of 2019/20 Season. This is great opportunity for the club to improve and develop.

Martin Chandler (Secretary of the Football Club) said: The facilities are excellent and far superior than any other club playing at our level so a massive thank you must go out to the Committee for inviting us and making us so welcome.

We would also like to thank Paul Kingston of Summer Land Air Conditioning Ltd for sponsoring us and buying a new kit for our first season at the club.
