Bridgwater and Albion maintained their 100% record for the season when they travelled to South Bristol based St Bernadettes Old Boys and scored nine tries to come away convincing winners.

Albion took control of the game from early on and following a quickly taken throw in, full back Jack Williams and then Josh Hurley made the break before Ryan Barnett sped in to score a try, his third in as many weeks, which Kyran Devitt converted.

St Bernadettes who lost two players to injury early on thenlooked to to come back but on each occasion they were thwarted by the Albion defence.

On the half hour mark Albion stepped up their game and over the next six minutes they scored three tries all converted by Devitt..

The first followed good work by Devitt ,Williams and Nathan Golding whose burst sent Harvey Fisher in.

Albion immediately returned to attack, they carved out space on the right hand side and when the ball came left Charlie Willcox timed his pass neatly to Josh Hurley who ran in.

Three minutes later from a penalty to touch Ryan Traynor won the ball from the line out and a tremendous 20 metre drive by the forwards saw Fisher go over for his second try making the score 28-0 at half time.

From the re-start good handling kept Albion on the move and on 42 minutes Williams and Traynor linked up well before passing to Nathan Golding who ran in from 20 metres before crashing over the line to score a try, converted by the reliable boot of Devitt.

From the kick off the visitors burst froward again with Karolis Urbonas prominent before the ball found it’s way to Mahoney dashing over the line for a try that again Devitt added the extras to making it 42-0.

Albion were now running amok with the backs and forwards combining well which resulted in Traynor scoring which Devitt converted.

In the 57th minute the Albion kicked a penalty to touch and from the line out Alex Knight sent Fisher in for his hat trick try which Devitt converted.

With the score 56-0 Devitt went off injured having converted each of the Albion’s eight tries.

In the 73rd minute the visitors were back onto the attack as Jon Hill dummied his way through to score a try which he then converted. In the closing minutes of the game St Bernadettes finally scored a converted try to make the final score 63-7 to Bridgwater & Albion.
