Bridgwater & Albion RFC 2nd XV 64-28 Wiveliscombe RFC 2nd XV
Bridgwater & Albion RFC Second XV rounded off a good year when they turned in an impressive 10 try team performance to beat their counterparts from Wiveliscombe RFC at College Way on Saturday afternoon.
This was the Bridgy Boys sixth victory of the campaign and sees them end 2025 in fourth place in the table.
The hosts dominated from the start and by the half time break they led 34-14 thanks to tries from George Burtenshaw, Trystan Hudson,(2), Ethan Parfitt and Taylor Galloway.
The 2nd Half
After the interval the home side continued to attack and saw them run in a further five tries thanks to Cam Modley, George Diamond, Olly Howley and two from Jay Darrell.
In addition to his brace of tries Darrell also converted seven of the scores giving him a match tally of 24 points- certainly something to remember.
This was the highest number of points that the Seconds have scored this campaign, four of the tries came through the forwards, while six of them came through the backs- this was a really good all round team effort.
Bridgwater & Albion Second XV next game is on Friday 9th January 2026 when they travel to play Weston super Mare Seconds under lights kicking off 7.30pm.
The Third XV were without a game on Saturday and return to action on Saturday 10th January when they host Tor Second XV.
