Post Weekend update for Bridgwater & Albion RFC
Bridgwater & Albion RFC 2nd XV continued with their successful season and on Saturday they beat their Chard counterparts 24-0 away to notch up their fifth win of the campaign.
This result sees the Bridgy Boys move to fourth place in Counties 3 Somerset South and this coming weekend (13th December) the Seconds are at home to Wiveliscombe Second XV.
3rd XV
Bridgwater & Albion RFC Third XV were also in action on Saturday afternoon on the second pitch at College Way where they entertained Morganians in Counties 4 Somerset South.
The match had all the trappings of a local derby, and it was a hard-fought encounter. It was the visitors who ran out the 19-25 winners.
This coming weekend, Albion Thirds travel away to play against Minehead Barbarians Thirds.
Colts
Congratulations to four Bridgwater & Albion RFC Colts who represented Somerset Under 18s recently in a match against Berkshire at Hartpury College.
Although Somerset lost the match 45-10 the four Bridgy Boys, Austin Ranson (scrum half), Albert White (tight head prop), Connor Evans ( second row) and Will Brown ( flanker) all gave a good account of themselves. They all hope to play for Somerset Under 18s in their upcoming match against Buckinghamshire, also at Hartpury.
