Recent match reports from Bridgwater & Albion RFC
Bridgwater & Albion RFC Women were at home to Trojans Second XV, from Eastleigh in Hampshire, who are currently top of the Women’s National Counties South West ( South ) League.
The game was attended by a large crowd, which included several supporters from the visiting team.
Trojans arrived having won all three of their previous matches. Despite this, the home team put in a strong showing. This included some good individual performances from some of their newer recruits.
The home side’s best period of play came just after half-time. This was rounded off when Sophie Phillips crashed over for a try.
At the end of the match, however, it was Trojans who ran out the comfortable 30-5 winners.
Bridgwater Women’s next league game is on 30th November. They travel to North Gloucestershire to play against Fairford before returning home to host Devizes Women on 14th December. This is their last game before Christmas.
