IT’S GAME DAY………..

However not just game day, THE GAMES DAY!!!

We have the biggest games of the year at Bridgwater & Albion this afternoon………..

In chronological order we start the day with our 2nd XV away to Hornets 2nds. Kick Off is scheduled early for a 12.30(ish) start. Hornets are currently leading the league having won all 16 of their games so far this season, gaining a 4-try bonus point in 15 of these games. The Bridgy Boys aren’t far behind with 13 from 17 wins and are currently lying in 3rd spot. They will be seeking to upset Hornets current form in what should be a great contest.

At College Way at 1pm, the 3rd XV will be entertaining local rivals Morganians. The sides last met at Morgs in October where today’s visitors ran in a narrow 8-7 victory. Morgs however currently have better league form as they lie 3rd in the table, a clear 26 points ahead of the Bridgy Boys. Derby competitions are strange though and Bridgwater will be looking to make up lost ground.

Finally, at 3pm on the main pitch, Bridgwater 1st XV host North Petherton. Pethy have had the majority of the bragging rights in previous years and have also had better league finishes than Bridgwater. However the Bridgy Boys are currently on top form and will be looking to redress the balance somewhat and emulate last years home victory and also put aside the narrow 9-5 defeat that they saw when they visited Beggars Brook last October. This is both sides ‘game of the year’ and both have a HUGE desire to win. It should be a tough, tense and exciting game. You need to be there to experience the event!!!

We are expecting a large crowd this afternoon with the two home derby games. We have masses of space with food available, an outside bar as well as tea & coffee on tap, so get there early and you can watch two exciting games of rugby for the price of one – just £5 entry with under 16’s free.

Good luck as always to all teams but of course I can only finish with:
COME ON THE BRIDGY BOYS!!!!
