Bridgwater and Albion 37- Cleve 3

Bridgwater and Albion dominated this game from the start and ran out the deserved winners after scoring four converted tries.

The hosts took the lead after four minutes when Wayne Sprangle made a forceful break on the right before passing to Sam Adcock who went over for a try to the right of the posts which Stuart Heal converted.

Cleve came back strongly and got themselves off the mark when Graham Welling kicked a penalty that was awarded for offside.

However on 10 minutes Bridgwater extended their lead when Heal slotted home a penalty.

On 25 minutes Sprangle made another strong run before passing to fleet footed winger Will Monro who made the final pass to Tom Fournier who went over for a try that Heal converted. Five minutes later Heal kicked another penalty to make the score 20-3 to the home side.

On 42 minutes Cleve were reduced to 14 men when they had a player yellow carded after which there was no further score before the break.

Cleve started off the second half strongly but it was the home team who scored the first points when Heal kicked a penalty after the visitors had a player sent to the sin bin for a high tackle.

After a period of the match that was evenly contested with 10 minutes remaining Monro, who was lively throughout, made a break before chipping the ball to the left corner where Oskar White was on hand to collect and score the try which Heal converted.
