Match Report by Richard Walsh

Bridgwater and Albion bounced back to winning ways with a comfortable six try win over Clevedon, who have now suffered three defeats this season.

The hosts welcomed back Stuart Heal from injury, and included veteran Dan Kemmish in place of the injured Ali Blundell in their line up.
Clevedon were reduced to 14 shortly after the kick off when Cameron Maslen was yellow carded for a dangerous tackle, but  despite this they continued to create pressure.
However on 18 minutes Bridgwater cleared their lines and the ball found its way to winger Will Monro, who ran from halfway, dodged two tackles before going over for a try between the posts which Heal converted.

Bridgwater wasted no time in adding to their tally when following some good work by the experienced Luke Plummer winger Kyran Devitt gathered the ball, chipped it ahead and gathered it before scoring a try on the left.

Clevedon kept attacking and were rewarded  just before the half hour when Joe Williams went over from close range. Right on half time the visitors scored a second unconverted try this time when Number 8 Andrew Davis went over following a five metre scrum to make it 12-10 at the interval.

Bridgwater began strongly after the break and a Plummer break resulted in Ryan Barnett scoring a try which Heal converted.  The hosts added to their tally 10 minutes later when Brad Talbot scored between the posts from close range which Heal once again converted..

The home side were very much in the ascendancy at this stage and made it 31-10 when Barnett scored in the corner following a quickly taken line out.

Clevedon weren’t done yet and reduced the arrears with a try in the left hand corner by Harvey Russell. At the other end Hel slotted home a penalty before the visitors were awarded a series of close range scrums which eventually resulted in a try from Joe Williams that former Albion player Tom Thie converted.

Just before the final whistle Luke Brereton broke free to run in for a try which Heal converted to make it 41=22 at the whistle.
