Bridgwater and Albion RFC v Sherborne RFC – Game is on!!!!!

| 14/10/2022

It has been published on other sites that tonight’s Regional 2 Tribute South West league match between Bridgwater & Albion RFC and Sherbourne RFC is being postponed. This is NOT the case.

The scheduled referee has had a family member taken ill and he needs to be with them. Our thoughts and well wishes are with him and his family. Whilst rugby is a sport we love, we all recognise that at times, some things are just more important.

A replacement referee has been identified by Somerset Referee Society and so the game will go ahead as planned.

We often have to remind supporters and players that we respect referees because it is in the ethos of our game, because it is the right thing to do and because we can’t play the game without them. This is a live example of that. We thank all referees (and don’t forget the people that help organise the referees) for all the work that they do.

To reiterate tonight’s game is on and kicks off at 19:30. The bar is open from 18:00, please come on down to enjoy a drink and support the team.

Don’t forget…

Bridgwater & Albion II team are playing at home in Counties 3 Tribute Somerset South to Yeovil II team on Saturday at 15:00.

The Women’s team are also playing on Sunday at 14:00 in a NC2 South West (West) match versus Melksham Ladies. Both teams would love your support and the bar will be open.

A reminder that we also have a very active youth section for children between 6-18 years of age on Sunday mornings from 10:00am, all welcome.
