Geoff says…

| 09/01/2018
Bridgwater and Albion suffered the frustration of having their opening game of 2018 postponed by Thornbury on Saturday morning because of a waterlogged pitch.
Geoff Sluman the Director of Rugby at Albion said: “We were very disappointed because we were all set to go and had a good team and I think we could have gone to Thonbury and won.”
This weekend the Albion are away at bottom of the table Clevedon who they beat 41-22 at College Way back in September. The north Somerset side are coached by Nick Hill and Chris Heal, both of who have had spells in charge at Bridgwater over the years.
Looking ahead Sluman said: “We will have another two good training sessions this week to prepare for the game at Clevedon on Saturday. Even though they are bottom of the table we know that we will be in for a tough game up there.
Bridgwater are expected to include Kyran Devitt, who took a knock in the game against North Petherton in early December and Rob Thompson, who was unavailable last weekend, in the squad for this weekend’s game.
Saturday’s match at Clevedon kicks off at 2.15pm.
The postponed game at Thornbury will be re-arranged in February.
