LOYAL AND DEDICATED DAN KEMMISH STANDS BY TO MAKE 400 1ST XV APPEARANCES

| 01/10/2019

Dan Kemmish – Albion’s former 1st XV captain and current stalwart of the side – is set to make his 400th 1st XV appearance in Saturday’s away fixture at Devonport Services at the Rectory in Plymouth.  This is a remarkable achievement in this day and age of reduced matches and Dan has accomplished this notable landmark in his 17th season with the club.  Prior to joining Albion, he played for North Petherton for several seasons and his overall 1st XV appearances for both clubs now extend well beyond 500.

A full profile of Dan’s career will be in our next home match programme v Hornets on 12 October.

Since making his debut on 15 November 2003 at Cleve in an RFU intermediate match, he has been remarkably consistent and in some seasons has played in all matches.  He has played in all four of Albion’s matches in this 2019/20 season.  At the age of 43 he is still turning in excellent performances and serves as an inspiration to his younger colleagues.  Here is a fine example of loyalty, dedication and leadership.  The champagne corks ought to be popping in both Plymouth and Bridgwater next Saturday as congratulations will undoubtedly ring in from all parts of the rugby football world.
