Old Bristolians RFC 41 – Bridgwater & Albion RFC 27
Bridgwater & Albion RFC’s hopes of winning their first rugby match of the season in Counties One Western North were dashed when they slumped 41-27 at home to Old Bristolians.
Both sides went into the game without a victory this season, having lost their opening two matches.
Albion were the first on the scoresheet in the 12th minute. A try by Ethan Trebble-Westlake was converted by Stuart Heal. The visitors hit back in the 20th minute with an unconverted try by Joe Davies.

They increased their lead with a try under the posts. This was converted. This put them 17-7 up.
Albion hit back almost immediately, taking advantage of some poor defending to score a try through Jono Hayes.
Just before half time the visitors scored another try in the corner. This put them at 22-12 up, before Albion reduced the arrears just before the break with a penalty by Heal.
Old Bristolians scored another converted try early in the second half (29-15), before both sides cancelled each other out for a long spell.
Bridgwater kept coming back
