Simon says “Looking forward to Okehampton”

| 30/09/2016

Bridgwater and Albion head coach Simon Morrell has had two hard sessions with his squad in preparation for their trip to West Devon on Saturday to face Okehampton.

Looking forward to tomorrow’s big match Simon said: “It’s always nice to pick the bones out of a winning performance and that is exactly what we’ve done this week.

“There were some huge positives to take from our local derby game with Pethy last Saturday- our set piece and defence to name just two. That said there were some aspects of our attack that didn’t function (many did) and this is what we have put our  energies into this week.

Simon went on: “We will have to see just how much we have progressed as we head to an Okehampton side, who will play a very similar brand to us. It will be a game of two contrasting halfs on their slopy pitch.

“They will certainly be well adept to making the most of the slope. So we will firsty get our bearings before discussing the do’s and don’ts of each half. I suspect this will be a cracking game and a very good test for the boys.”

Simon added: “As always any support for the men out on the pitch would be greatly appreciated!”
