Teignmouth 32- BARFC 29.

Albion made the trip to South Devon for their final league match of the season where after producing another excellent effort performance they were denied a share of the spoils by a penalty in the 53rd minute of the second half.

The hosts started strongly and and were rewarded when stand off Lidstone scored and converted their opening try.

Albion responded quickly to level things up following a George Sluman steal and a move involving Ollie Dunn, before Rob Gurnett went over for a try which Stuart Heal converted.

Full back Will Monro produced a number of startling runs and on 20 minutes one resulted in the ball finding Tom Fournier who passed to Ryan Barnett to go over for an unconverted try to put his side into the lead.

Teignmouth came straight back from the re-start and made it 12-12 when centre Sowden took advantage of an Albion mistake before releasing Smith to score.

On half an hour Brad Talbot made a good break that resulted in a try which Heal slotted home. In the final 10 minutes of the half the Albion used all three of their replacements as the players went to the interval was 12-15.

The home side, who were powerful in midfield throughout, started the second half strongly and on 10 minutes Jake Burt scored a try that Lidstone converted. Teignmouth extended their lead five minutes later with a try from Sowden that Lidstone added the extras to make it 25-15.

Despite trailing by 10 points the Albion continued to attack and following another searing run by Monro he linked well with Gurnett who off loaded to Talbot who touched down between the posts which Devitt converted.

On 72 minutes Teignmouth were awarded a penalty that Lidstone kicked to make the score 29-22 in response to which the Albion attacked from deep within their own half a move that resulted in Ethan Trebble Westlake scoring a try which Devitt converted.

The game looked to be ending in a draw when deep into overtime Teignmouth were awarded a penalty which Lidstone kicked at the death to give his side the narrowest of victories 32-29.
