BARFC vs Taunton RFC – Golf…..

Bridgwater and Albion RFC Former claimed the bragging rights when they beat their Taunton RFC counterparts in the Annual Former Players Golf Match that was played at Enmore Park Golf Club on Friday.

At the start it looked as though Taunton were going to take the title after winning the first three matches in what was the 22nd meeting of the two sides in this event.

However the remaining five matches all went in favour of Bridgwater and Albion who ran out 5-3 winners to secure the trophy for another year.

Members of the successful Bridgwater and Albion Former Players team were- Dave Baker and Bob Payne (capt), Tony Mason and Nigel French, Mike Berry and Tony Phelps, Alan Hurford and Matt Lazenby, Peter Hawkins and Pete Edmonds, Keith Wilson and George Cossey, Neil Redman and Luke Hawkins, and Phil Hodge and Paul Ekins.
