Bridgwater & Albion RFC recap and what’s on next at College Way

Bridgwater & Albion RFC 1st XV

After a weekend without a game Bridgwater & Albion RFC First XV return to Western Counties (North) action on Saturday when they hast Gordon League at College Way, kicking off at 2pm.

Having won their last four matches the Albion have lifted themselves up to seventh place in the table.  They are 34 points from their 16 games, six of which they have won.

Saturday’s visitors Gordon League were promoted into Western Counties North at the end of last season.  They  find themselves one place below their hosts with 30 points from the same number of games, five of which have been won.

Last weekend Gordon League were beaten at home by basement side Cinderford Seconds.  Bridgwater and Albion beat them 43-20 in January.

The Gloucester based team will be keen to get back to winning ways.  The hosts can expect a tough game.  Hopefully they will secure a win to maintain their successful run.

Bridgwater & Albion RFC 2nd XV

Meanwhile Bridgwater and Albion Second XV have last out in their two most recent matches.

Against table toppers Castle Cary at College Way the Albion Seconds were beaten 15-34.  Then on the road against Wyvern on Saturday they lost out 37-26.

Albion still occupy second place in the Counties 3 Tribute Somerset and on Saturday face another stern test when they tavel to face fifth place North Petherton  Seconds in a local derby match

Bridgwater & Albion Thirds

Bridgwater & Albion RFC Thirds lost their home game against Weston super Mare Thirds 20-25 and are next in action on 22nd February against Yeovil away.

Bridgwater & Albion Women’s Team

Meanwhile Bridgwater Women’s enjoyed only their second league victory of the season last weekend.  They convincingly beat their visitors Bideford Women 58-10.

Having drawn 5-5 at Topsham Women last month Bridgwater Women are unbeaten in 2025.  They are next in action when they host their Bude counterparts on Sunday 23rd February,
