Bridgwater & Albion RFC First XV

After the festive break, Bridgwater & Albion RFC return to Western Counties (North) league action on Saturday afternoon when they host Burnham on Sea at College Way kick off 2pm.

After beating Chard at home, the Albion will be hoping to gain revenge.  This is for the 54-22 defeat they suffered at the hands of their nearest league rivals when the two sides met at Stoddens Road back in September.

Since then both sides have struggled in the league and currently, Bridgwater & Albion RFC find themselves third from the bottom of the table with 14 points from the 12 matches they have played two of which have been won. Burnham are one place below with 11 points from the same number of matches one of which they have won.

Cinderford Seconds are bottom of the table with seven points from their 12 matches.

The next club above Bridgwater & Albion is Chard who have 10 more points from the same number of games, so the hosts will be keen to record another victory to keep in touch with them.

Bridgwater & Albion RFC Second XV

Bridgwater & Albion RFC Second XV return to action on Saturday when they travel to Taunton to play against Wyvern RFC.

The Bridgy Boys are enjoying a very successful season in Counties 3 Tribute Somerset South. They are in second place behind Castle Cary, with 53 points from their 12 games, six points adrift of the leaders.  Their hosts Wyvern are one place below them with 35 points from the same number of fixtures.

When the two sides met at College Way earlier in the season it was the home side who ran out the 46-38 victors.  This was a result that the Bridgy Boys will be hoping to repeat on Saturday.

Bridgwater & Albion RFC Third XV

Meanwhile, Bridgwater & Albion Thirds travel away to play against Yeovil Seconds on Saturday afternoon.

On Sunday Bridgwater and Albion Ladies travel away to play Topsham Tempest Ladies in Women’s NC 2 South West (West).
