Bridgwater & Albion RFC strengthen Coaching Arrangements

Bridgwater & Albion RFC Director of Rugby Geoff Sluman said he was very pleased that Carl Rimmer is leading the coaching team for the second year running. As a player Carl has massive experience being a professional rugby player for many years. Carl played for Exeter Chiefs in the premiership for many seasons. Including playing in the Premiership Final that saw Exeter win their first title.

Richard Bright will continue as player coach.

Brighty also has a Chiefs connection being a community coach for them. He has developed great experience as a player in the league we play that is enormously helpful in helping translate coaching points to relevance for our players.

Richard Capstick now also bolsters Albion’s strong coaching line up

Geoff is delighted to announce that Richard Capstick will be joining the coaching team this season. Rich has done a couple of guest coaching sessions for us last season. Capstick is currently playing with the Exeter Chiefs and has become an important player for them. Playing mostly in the back row but also occasionally in the second row. He has obviously exposed to some of the latest and very best coaches nationally. It is great for us that he is willing to share this knowledge and experience.

Ollie Devoto will return after injury

Ollie Devoto, another Chiefs first team squad player is also still associated with Bridgwater and Albion RFC. Devo is currently recovering from an injury. We hope we will get him involved again shortly.

Overall we have a coaching team with experience of playing at top class level and experience of coaching in our league.

Bridgwater and Albion RFC welcomes new players

All new players are welcome training is on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting Tuesday 05th July at 18:45. Geoff finished by saying that he thanked the coaching team for their commitment and was looking forward to the next season.
