Bridgwater and Albion 34- Chew Valley 10.

Bridgwater produced a clinical performance and scored five tries to see off newly promoted Chew Valley who competed stongly throughout this tough match.

On 40 minutes Shaun Mahoney appeared to be through for a try when he was high tackled, as a result of which Bridgwater were awarded a penalty try and Chew had the offending player yellow carded, making the score 15-5 at half time.

Five minutes after the re-start Heal stretched the Bridgwater lead when he scored a try in the right hand corner.

The hosts continued to exert pressure and following a line out halfway into the Chew half Wayne Sprangle collected the ball and ran to the line for try that Heal converted.

Chew were far from finished and against the run of play Harry Stride gathered the ball in his own half and sprinted to the line to score an unconverted try.
