Simon looking for big finish to season

| 08/03/2018

Bridgwater and Albion head coach Simon Morrell is hoping to end the season with a flourish and going into the last two months of the season he said: “There is still a lot of the season left to play and while other teams around us might be happy to be where they are in the table we still feel that we have got some unfinished business and are looking to improve upon our seventh place in the table.

“We have got our own agenda and are keen to have a really strong finish to the our fixtures and take some momentum into pre-season with us.

“A number of things have started to come together for us now. Availability looks good for the coming weeks and we are chomping at the bit.

“We are better than the position we are in and I think that we are keen to show our worth and get some wins under our belts in the last six games and really looking forward to it.”

This weekend Albion travel up the M5 to take on Matson who are based in Gloucester and who ran out the 23-19 winners when the two sides met at College Way back in November.

Looking towards the game the head coach said: “Matson are a tough side but we owe them one after they beat us earlier in the season. We feel that if we get our preparation right and put our best team on the bus there are no excuses if we don’t get a victory.”

Bridgwater and Albion’s home game against Launceston last weekend was postponed because of the snowy conditions, and will now be played at home on Saturday March 17th.
