BARFC 8 v 37 Match Review

| 08/10/2017

Simon MorrellBRIDGWATER and Albion’s head coach Simon Morrell remains upbeat despite his side’s 37-8 home defeat by slick Drybrook in South West One (W) over the weekend.
Albion were always up against it after they had Shaun Mahoney red carded 30 minutes into the first half.
“You’re not going to get back in the game with 14 men on the pitch,” he said afterwards.
“But there are plenty of positves to take out of the game and the boys who finished the match were exceptional in the second half against a very good and well-drilled side.
“They are about 12 months ahead of us in terms of development. It would have been very easy to hide away in the second half. I am very happy with the way things are going.
“You have to remember that Drybrook put 100 points past Bideford only seven days earlier. They showed us the way yesterday.
“We have a blank weekend coming up which means we have a fortnight for some players to get over their injuries. It gives them a chance to rest their bodies.”
Albion’s next first team game in the league is away to 100 per cent leaders Exeter University, who are four points clear of second-placed Drybrook, on Saturday, October 21.
*Albion were captained aganist Drybrook by Stuart Heal who was making his 100th appearance for the club.
