Bridgwater and Albion 8- Drybrook -37.

Despite playing with 14 men for most of the game Bridgwater and Albion put up a brave fight against a well organised Drybrook side but in the end it was the visitors who ran out the deserved winners.

The Gloucestershire side opened the scoring in the first minute when Stevenson kicked a penalty which was cancelled out when Stuart Heal, playing his 100th game and skippering for the day, slotted one home for Bridgwater soon afterwards.

On 10 minutes the hosts had Heal yellow carded. Drybrook made the most of their advantage when after quarter an hour winger Howells scored an unconverted try and followed up with a score from prop Hale which Stevenson added the extras to.

Just before the half hour Bridgwater’s Shaun Mahoney was shown the red card for foul play, but despite this setback the home side held out strongly for the next 10 minutes

Shortly before the interval however Drybrook made their pressure count when first their number 8 Gardner went over for a try that Stevenson converted followed by a try for Will Greenway, which was unconverted.

Bridgwater adapted well to being a man down and came out strongly after the break, but after 17 minutes Sam Peaper went over for an unconverted try for the visitors.

The home side kept coming forward and on 27 minutes they were rewarded when new signing Arron Kelly from Teignmouth scored a debut try.

With five minutes left Drybrook scored another try through J Tingle to make the final score 8-37.
