Bridgwater and Albion RFC Seconds notched up their third win on the trot when they beat their North Petherton counterparts to claim the local bragging rights.
The visitors opened the scoring when they converted a penalty but Bridgwater came back strongly. Mid way though the first half, when following good work from the forwards from the line out Jack Bunney went over for a try which Cam Hillier converted.
Both teams in turn created pressure but it was Bridgwater who went over again with an unconverted try from Graham Slorance.
Good half for both teams
However just before the break the visitors reduced the arrears with a converted try to make 12-10 at the end of a very good half for both teams
The second half continued in the same way with both teams putting in some big hits. However Bridgwater defended very well and a good build up saw them work their way into the Petherton 22, from where Slorance went over for his second try which was again converted by Hillier, making in 19-10.
The visitors continued to put pressure on the Bridgwater defence which stood firm until with three minutes to go Pethy eventually found a way through and scored an unconverted try.
