Bridgwater and Albion face another tough rugby match when they play at home to fourth-placed Newent in South West One (W) this coming Saturday.
Albion lost 14-5 at home to Cornish All Blacks over the weekend and although pleased with the performance Albion’s director of rugby Geoff Sluman was obviously not pleased with the result.
“If we had played like that against Matson the previous week we would have won,” he said. “But you can’t turn back the clock.
“We’re looking forward to the game against Newent. We lost up there but we are going into the match with confidence.
“With some players coming back we will have a few more options on the bench. We could see what was happening against the All Blacks but there was not an awful lot we could do about it.
“However, the All Blacks are a very good side. Apart from Drybrook and Exeter University they are easily the best of the rest.
“It was an hectic start to Saturday’s game and we did score first. It was a very competitive first half.
“All Blacks are used to playing at a higher level and they have retained some of their more experienced players. They are also a big side and very well coached.”
Second rowers Rob Thompson and Aaron Kelly will both be back in contention for this weekend along with hooker Sam Adcott and centre Nik Bradley.
However centre Jay Owens is definitely ruled out after suffering a dislocated elbow early on against All Blacks and being hospitalised.
Albion remain eighth in the table despite the defeat by All Blacks and four points ahead of neighbours North Petherton who have a game in hand.
