Bridgwater returned to winning ways with a 13 try victory over Coney Hill who despite their lowly league standing kept up fighting until the end..
It was Coney Hill who looked the most threatening from the kick off but on five minutes Stuart Heal put the hosts ahead when he slotted home a penalty.
On 10 minutes a slick handling move in which the Bridgwater player coach Wayne Sprangle was prominent resulted in Tom Fournier going over for the first try of the match just to the right of the posts, which Heal duly converted.
Full back Will Monro was next to score when he ran in from halfway to touch down for a try which Heal once more added the extras to.
Coney Hill kept resisting the Bridgwater pressure but on 25 minutes they were adjudged to be of side and Heal stepped up to kick the penalty making it 20-0 to the home side.
An infringement on the visitors 22 line saw Bridgwater awarded a free kick which was taken quickly and eventually found its way to Fournier who went over for his second try of the game which Heal converted.
Monro was an ever present danger throughout the game, always looking to jink his way round defenders and just after the half hour the full back produced a run that ended with George Sluman scoring a try which Heal converted.
On 34 minutes Coney Hill were reduced to 14 men when Mallachi Mills was yellow carded for foul play.
Just before half time James Collings spun over for a try following a good move across the backs, which again the ever reliable boot of Heal added the extras to as Bridgwater went into the break leading 41-0.
The Gloucestershire side came out all guns blazing after the break and after taking advantage of some errors in the Bridgwater defence Clayton Dee wet over a for a try which he then converted.
Coney Hill hardly had time to regroup before Rob Gurnett scored a try for Bridgwater that Heal converted.
Home skipper Olly Dunn, who always looked threatening with the ball in hand made a break from inside his own half before touching down for a try behind the posts which Heal converted.
Bridgwater kept on attacking and looking to score at every opportunity and in the final half hour there were tries for Kyran Devitt, Ethan Trebble Westlake Sprangle, James Brakes, Dunn and Collings, all of which Heal converted.
With 15 minutes to go Coney Hill picked up a second try this time when Daniel Loftus went over which Dee converted.
However this was Bridgwater’s day and a sparkling all round performance saw them run out the winners 97-14 at the final whistle.
